The Spanish-speaking population is on the rise. As so, the population of Spanish-speaking children in our schools is also rising. It is important that we know not only how to diagnose and treat these students, but that we also know how to differentiate between language differences and language disorders. This site can be useful for bilingual SLPs or those that may need to interact with students or parents in Spanish.

Internship Project

My name is Jama Garcia and I am a bilinugal graduate student studying speech/language pathology. I created this web site for my internship supervisor, Lisa Tesch, who has been an inspiring friend, mentor, and professional. I hope that this site will be a beneficial resource for all SLPs working with Spanish-speaking or bilingual children!
